Approve Consent Agenda <br />At the request of Mayor Roe, City Manager Trudgeon briefly reviewed those items being <br />considered under the Consent Agenda; and as detailed in specific Requests for Council <br />Action (RCA) and related attachments dated July 11, 2016. <br />a. Approve Payments <br />Willmus moved, Etten seconded, approval of the following claims and payments <br />as presented and detailed. <br />ACH Payments $1,227,845.36 <br />81877 — 82145 1,103,550.87 <br />TOTAL $2,331,396.23 <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: McGehee, Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, and Roe. <br />Nays: None. <br />b. Approval of 2016-2017 Business and Other License Renewals <br />Willmus moved, Etten seconded, approval of annual business and other license <br />renewals as detailed, dependent on successful background checks. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: McGehee, Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, and Roe. <br />Nays: None. <br />Approve Business & Other Licenses <br />Willmus moved, Etten seconded, approval of business and other licenses and <br />permits for terms as noted, dependent on successful background checks. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: McGehee, Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, and Roe. <br />Nays: None. <br />d. Approve General Purchases in Excess of $5,000 and Sale of Surplus Items <br />Councilmember McGehee asked if, in addition to golf carts, the Park Patrol Ser- <br />vice used bicycles. <br />Mayor Roe noted the considerable number of those volunteers who were elderly. <br />Police Chief Rick Mathwig confirmed that the majority of the Park Patrol were <br />senior volunteers; but advised one member used their own bike, and some walked, <br />but others used the golf carts. Chief Mathwig advised that the department was <br />option to any method available for this volunteer patrol. <br />
