Mr. Kroll noted roof space was eliminated before hitting <br />the cap; but with anticipated monetary savings at 17% to 18% on the PPA, there <br />was a potential for more savings if demand offset that. <br />Motion <br />Member Seigler moved, Member Lenz seconded, recommending to the City <br />Council authorizing staff and the City Attorney to initiate negotiations with <br />Sundial Solar on a Power Purchase Agreement for the installation of solar <br />panels on the Maintenance Facility and City Hall roofs, as presented; <br />including submission for presentation to the City Council a one-page <br />summary of the proposal, taxpayer costs and any liability, and payback, as <br />noted during tonight's discussion. <br />Ayes: 7 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />Asset Management System Review <br />As detailed in the staff report and part of the City ouncil's Policy Pr ority Plan <br />(PPP) that included the city's infrastructure sustainability, Mr. Culver reported a <br />strategy to inspect, rate and document assets for each department. Mr. Culver <br />reviewed current asset management software programs allowing management of <br />that information. <br />For the purpose of tom ht's discus hair Cihac asked staff to define <br />"asset." <br />4r. a ver noted t ere were a snot tracked (e.g. chairs furniture etc.) that <br />were set aside for genera nd periodic replacement, and therefore not tagged or <br />inventornied. Mr. Culver d staff tried to use some logic and thresholds of what <br />was worth traffic and what wasn't. Of those items for tracking, Mr. Culver noted <br />there were significant elements in the public rights-of-way worth tracking and <br />more critical for service delivery. Mr. Culver noted that part of the exercise was <br />297 <br />going through infrastructure inventory and developing a rating system identifying <br />298 <br />those assets being tracked. Mr. Culver advised that the Parks & Recreation <br />299 <br />Department had utilized a similar process.
