The HRC is asked to appoint a representative to serve on <br />91 <br />the Ethics Commission. <br />92 <br /> <br />93 <br />Commissioner Dailey stated she would serve as the Human Rights Commission representative <br />94 <br />for the Ethics Commission. <br />95 <br /> <br />96 <br /> <br />c.Strategic Planning/ Goal Setting/ Projects or Issues to Address in 2016 <br />97 <br />Chair Groff stated one of the things the Commission had been working on was mental health, <br />98 <br />working with the KOM outreach and Second Chance Coalition. The Commission will continue <br />99 <br />working on the HRC award and promoting the Shoreview Human Rig <br />100 <br />viewing. Youth Commission Cederberg would continue working on the Summer Book Read <br />101 <br />event. Other items the Commission is working on include participation in the Rosefest Parade <br />102 <br />and the annual Essay Contest. The Commission will need to begin working on the formulation <br />103 <br />on the question for the 2017 essay contest. <br />104 <br /> <br />105 <br />Ms. Curti stated she had a list of suggestions she had received years ago from teachers for the <br />106 <br />essay contest. She would present this list to the subcommittee for their review and there were <br />107 <br />other questions considered for the 2016 essay that could be considered. <br />108 <br /> <br />109 <br />Youth Commissioner Hansel stated she would work on the Essay Contest subcommittee. <br />110 <br /> <br />111 <br />Youth Commissioner Cederberg stated he would work on the Essay Contest subcommittee. <br />112 <br /> <br />113 <br />Commissioner Johnson stated he would work on the Essay Contest subcommittee. <br />114 <br /> <br />115 <br />Commissioner Dailey stated she had talked to a resident about cultural appropriation around <br />116 <br />Halloween time.
