Roll Call <br />Mayor Roe called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m. Voting and Seating <br />Order: Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee and Roe. City Manager Patrick Trudgeon <br />and City Attorney Mark Gaughan were also present. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br />3. Approve Agenda <br />City Manager Trudgeon requested removal of Item 8.j from the Consent Agenda for sep- <br />arate consideration. <br />Councilmember Laliberte requested removal of Item 8.b from the Consent Agenda for <br />separate consideration. <br />McGehee moved, Etten seconded, approval of the agenda as amended. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee and Roe. <br />Nays: None. <br />4. Public Comment <br />Mayor Roe called for public comment by members of the audience on any non-agenda <br />items. No one appeared to speak. <br />5. Council and City Manager Communications, Reports, and Announcements <br />Mayor Roe announced several upcoming community activities and events for the benefit <br />of the listening audience. <br />Councilmember Laliberte provided a brief update on the community input opportunity <br />held last week with the Cedarholm Golf Course Task Force; with the report being pre- <br />pared Parks & Recreation Commission meeting in early September and subsequently for <br />presentation to the City Council. <br />Mayor Roe provided an update on revitalization efforts in the Rice Street/Larpenteur Av- <br />enue area, and as a follow-up to the recent community meeting held, representatives of <br />the three cities (Maplewood, St. Paul and Roseville) met to organize that raw feedback <br />into areas of similar interest for formal presentation to the wider communities; and sub- <br />sequent follow-up with businesses tentatively scheduled for September 21, 2016 by the <br />St. Paul Chamber of Commerce. <br />
