<br />Variance Board Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes – Wednesday, July 13, 2016 – 5:30 p.m. <br />1. Call to Order <br />1 <br />Acting Chair Murphy called to order the Variance Board meeting at approximately 5:30 p.m. and <br />2 <br />reviewed the role and purpose of the Variance Board. <br />3 <br />2. Roll Call & Introductions <br />4 <br />At the request of Acting Chair Murphy, City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />5 <br />Members Present: <br />Acting Chair Robert Murphy, Member Chuck Gitzen and Member James <br />6 <br />Daire and Alternate Member-Elect Julie Kimble <br />7 <br />Staff Present: <br /> City Planner Thomas Paschke <br />8 <br />3. Appointment of Officers <br />9 <br />Since publication of tonight’s agenda, Acting Chair Murphy noted addition of an item appointing a <br />10 <br />Chair and Vice Chair of the Variance Board, subsequent to the recent City Council ratification of <br />11 <br />appointments of Planning Commissioners to serve on the Board. <br />12 <br />Chair <br />13 <br />MOTION <br />14 <br />Member Gitzen moved, seconded by Member Daire appointment of Member Murphy to <br />15 <br />serve as Chair of the Variance Board. <br />16 <br />Member Murphy accepted and nominations ceased. <br />17 <br />Ayes: 3 <br />18 <br />Nays: 0 <br />19 <br />Motion carried. <br />20 <br />Vice Chair <br />21 <br />MOTION <br />22 <br />Member Gitzen moved, seconded by Member Murphy appointment of Member Daire to <br />23 <br />serve as Vice Chair of the Variance Board. <br />24 <br />Member Daire accepted and nominations ceased. <br />25 <br />Ayes: 3 <br />26 <br />Nays: 0 <br />27 <br />Motion carried. <br />28 <br />4. Public Hearings <br />36 <br />Chair Murphy reviewed protocol for Public Hearings and public comment. <br />37 <br />a. PLANNING FILE 16-017 <br />38 <br />Request by Robin’s Nest Textile and Design, LLC (on behalf of Michelle <br />39 <br />Schumacher) for a VARIANCE to Roseville City Code, Section 1004.08 (Residential <br />40 <br />Setbacks), to allow the reconstruction of the principal structure within the required <br />41 <br />front yard setback area at 2006 Cohansey Boulevard. <br />42 <br />Chair Murphy opened the Public Hearing for Planning File 16-017 at 5:35 p.m. <br />43 <br /> <br />
