4
suggestion has been that we add an additional Parks and Recreation sign on Dale Street 109
directing people to Villa Park. 110
Commissioner Becker-Finn inquires as to why they want additional signs? 111
Commissioner Stoner responded that he did not have trouble finding Villa Park but states 112
that the Dale Street entrance is “weird”. He believes that it might be helpful if Parks and 113
Recreation Staff surveys the softball players who frequently utilize the parking lot. 114
Anfang confirmed that the softball players receive communication from the League 115
Director telling them the address for Villa Park. To date, there have not been any 116
questions or concerns from players. 117
Commissioner Stoner stated that it is “worth checking”. He asks Parks and Recreation 118
Staff to complete appropriate due diligence, as they would with any concern. 119
Brokke confirmed that Parks and Recreation staff would always work to address any 120
major concerns that the community raises. However, at this time a sign has not been 121
identified as a high priority at this location. 122
Becker-Finn questioned if the entrance is listed as a shared parking lot with B-Dale on 123
the website. If it is not listed, she suggested that it be added to help reduce any potential 124
confusion. 125
Park Facilities Supervisor Resignation: 126
Jeff Evenson will be leaving the City of Roseville as he has accepted the position of 127
Parks and Facilities Superintendent for the City of Maple Grove. He has worked for the 128
City of Roseville for 15 years and has been a true asset to the Parks and Recreation team 129
and the Roseville community. 130
Commissioner Stoner asked when Evenson’s last day with Roseville will be. Brokke 131
confirmed that his last day is Sept. 9th. 132
Park Acquisitions: 133
0 Cleveland: Closing is August 8th. Commissioner Stoner questioned if there is a plan to 134
develop the land. Brokke stated that there will be a public process to develop the new 135
park space. 136
1716 Marion: Still continuing due diligence on the potential location. 137
Commissioner Stoner asked for an update on the larger plot that was discussed at the 138
Joint Commission and City Council meeting. Brokke confirmed that the City Manager 139
will be following up. 140
