Human Rights Commission Minutes <br />September 21, 2016 Minutes <br />Page 5 of 5 <br /> <br />Commissioner Carey asked if the Commission had locked in a series of events prior to December <br />31 if the budget from 2016 could be applied towards any of the events that went into 2017. <br /> <br />Ms. Curti explained the events are funded in the year they are held. <br /> <br />Future Agenda Items <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Carey suggested discussing a plan for 2017 events after the meeting with the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />Chair Groff stated this would be a good discussion for the Commission. <br /> <br />Ms. Curti stated the election of the Chair and Vice-Chair would be in November. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dailey suggested reviewing the Commission’s mission statement when planning <br />events for 2017. <br /> <br />Chair Groff suggested the Commission get involved with the Rice Street Parade next year. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Carey moved and Commissioner Peterson seconded a motion to adjourn. <br />Motion passed unanimously.
