From:ELLIS, CAROLYN
To:Carolyn Curti
Cc:NICHOLS, SARAH
Subject:RE: Follow up and another questions
Date:Thursday, September 22, 2016 11:31:19 AM
Attachments:image001.jpg
Hello Carolyn,
I will be starting to plan the RAHS One World Multicultural Show starting in
October with a group of dedicated students from our different cultural clubs in the
school. In years past the themes have been: Being me in America 2014, Grown in
American 2015, Beauty of Cultures 2016
Which I describe as a small festival of nations enterprise. Last year we had over
500 people attend who range from members of the community, school board
members, families from our schools, teachers/administrators from all over the
district, and families of students who are participating.
There is a performance piece in our auditorium where in years past where
African American, Hmong, Karen, Latino and Nepali students participate in
demonstrating something about their culture. (This year I am looking into what
other cultural groups are interested in participating. The target audience
continues to be our underrepresented populations.) Then there is crafts and Free
food in the lunchroom.
I always welcome help from people and especially this year more than any other
year we need assistance with funding and donations. Our source of funding from
years past is no longer an option so in order to continue to grow our project it
would be very helpful to have new sources of grant money.
Please let me know if you are interested in participating and in what capacity,
Thank you!
Con todo aprecio y amor,
Carolyn Ellis
Latino Cultural Liaison
Roseville Area High School
MRC Room
1240 County Road B2 West
Roseville, MN 55113
(651)604-1489 Office
x8439
(651)775-9125 Celular
From: NICHOLS, SARAH
Sent: Thursday, September 22, 2016 10:31 AM
To: Carolyn Curti
Cc: LEE, MAIDER; ANDERSON, ANTHONY; ELLIS, CAROLYN
Subject: RE: Follow up and another questions
Hi Carolyn,
Thats awesome!
