October 19, 2016 <br />Item 5.F <br />Potential Collaboration with Library <br />Background <br />At the September meeting the Commission approved a motion to co-sponsor a three-part video <br />showing of “Race–The Power of an Illusion” with the Ramsey County Library. <br />Library staff had already put together a tentative timeline, including several programs on race in <br />January and February, so they suggested that the show the proposed video as part of their spring <br />programming. <br />Library staff ask whether the Human Rights Commission wants to co-sponsor the January and <br />February programs in addition to the Race video. They also suggested co-sponsoring the <br />programing with the Shoreview Human Rights Commission. <br />High schools, public libraries and qualifying community organizations may get a discounted <br />DVD license without streaming rights for $49.95. <br /> <br />
