From:Carol Jackson
To:kramundt@hotmail.com;Wayne Groff;ibmgirlx@aol.com;Carolyn Curti;Woodward, Judy
Cc:Watts, Carrie
Subject:One More Update on Racial Equity Programming at Roseville
Date:Wednesday, October 05, 2016 4:42:04 PM
Hello all!
I recently spoke with Judy Woodward, the librarian who manages our history programming at
Ramsey County Library about the Roseville Human Rights Commission's wishes to work with
the library on racial equity programming, and the possibility of presenting Race: The Power of
an Illusion.
Right now, Judy is working on programming for January and February and has some
interesting programs on race planned. Would the Roseville Human Rights Commission be
interested in partnering with the library on these programs (which Judy has already done a ton
of legwork on)?
We were thinking that Race: The Power of Illusion might be great for the spring session of
programming (to keep the momentum of racial equity programming going). Judy has an idea
of someone who might be a great facilitator for this program. Perhaps we can also partner with
the Shoreview Human Rights Commission on this program.
I've copied both Judy Woodward and Carrie Watts (the Assistant Branch Manager at
Roseville) on this email. I know that there are some wonderful opportunities for the Roseville
Human Rights Commission to partner with Roseville Library.
Please do contact Judy Woodward at jwood@ramsey.lib.mn.us to get the partnership on this
program started.
Thank you for your patience with the library as we sort out the best way to incorporate more
racial equity programming (and partnerships!) into our endeavors.
Carol
Carol Jackson | Library Manager
Ramsey County Library in Shoreview
4570 North Victoria Street
Shoreview, MN 55126
(651)724-6090
cjackson@ramsey.lib.mn.us
www.rclreads.org
---- Original Message ----
From: "Carol Jackson" <cjackson@ramsey.lib.mn.us>
Sent: 9/28/2016 2:43:15 PM
To: kramundt@hotmail.com, "Sherry Sanders\\" <" <ibmgirlx@aol.com>,
WayneGroff@edinarealty.com, arolyn.Curti@cityofroseville.com
Subject: Racial Equity Programming at Roseville Library
