(Ord. 1166, 5-28-1996) <br /> <br />APARTMENT HOTEL: A hotel which contains dwelling units or dwelling units and lodging <br />rooms, and in which at least fifty percent (50%) of the gross floor area devoted to residential use <br />shall be allocated to such dwelling units. Services ordinarily furnished by hotels, such as a <br />drugstore, tearoom, barbershop, newsstand, when such are located entirely within the building <br />with no separate entrances from the street and having no sign or display visible from the outside <br />of the building indicating existence of such use, may be furnished. <br /> <br />AUTO REDUCTION YARD: An open lot or yard where three (3) or more unlicensed motor <br />vehicles, or the remains of unlicensed motor vehicles, are kept for the purpose of dismantling, <br />sale of parts, sale as scrap, storage or abandonment, except the storage of operative vehicles in <br />conjunction with an established used auto and/or truck business or any other premises used for <br />wrecking or storing of motor vehicles not in running condition. <br /> <br />AUTO REPAIR; MAJOR: General repair, rebuilding or reconditioning of engines, motor <br />vehicles or trailers, including bodywork, framework, welding, and painting. <br /> <br />AUTO REPAIR; MINOR: The replacement of any part or repair of any part which does not <br />require removal of the engine head or plan, engine transmission or differential; incidental body <br />or fender work, minor painting or upholstering service to passenger vehicles and trucks not <br />exceeding three-quarter (3/4) ton capacity. <br /> <br />BASEMENT: Any area of a structure, including crawl spaces, having its floor below the first <br />story, regardless of the depth of excavation below ground level. <br /> <br />BINGO HALL: A principal or accessory use of a structure or property to operate a bingo hall <br />licensed under chapter 304 of this code and Minnesota statutes section 349.164. (Ord. 1244, 12- <br />18-2000) <br /> <br />BUILDING: Any structure for the shelter or enclosure of persons, animals or property of any <br />kind. <br /> <br />BUILDING HEIGHT: Building height is to be measured from the average established curb <br />level or from the average ground level at the building line, whichever is higher, to the top of the <br />cornice of a flat roof, to the flat roof portion of a mansard roof and to the mean height between <br />eaves and ridge for a pitched or hipped roof. <br /> <br />BULK OR MASS: Signifies the size in area and volume of buildings in terms of floor area and <br />floor area ratio, the location of building walls in relation to lot lines and to exterior walls of other <br />buildings. <br /> <br />CITY TOWER SITE: A location(s) in the city on which is or may be located one or more <br />antennas available for connection and use by any person, firm or corporation in accordance with <br />the provisions of chapter 1012 of this title and upon execution of a lease with the city.
