<br />Human Rights Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />JANUARY 18, 2017 <br /> <br />Commissioners: <br /> Chair Wayne Groff, Lisa Carey, Nicole Dailey, Molli Slade, Lauren <br />Peterson, John Eichenlaub, and Edward Johnson <br /> <br />Youth Commissioners: <br /> Elizabeth Hansel, and Gabriel Cederberg <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> Carolyn Curti <br /> <br />Call to Order/Roll Call <br /> <br />The Human Rights Commission (HRC) meeting was called to order at 6:01 p.m. Chair Groff <br />requested roll call. <br /> <br />Approve Agenda <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Slade moved and Commissioner Carey seconded a motion to approve the agenda <br />as presented. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Approve Minutes of November 16, 2016 Meeting <br /> <br />Commissioner Eichenlaub moved and Commissioner Peterson seconded a motion to approve the <br />November 16, 2016 meeting minutes as presented. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Public Comment on Items Not on Agenda <br /> <br /> <br />There being no one wishing to address the Commission of items not on the agenda, Chair Groff <br />moved to the next agenda item. <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br /> <br />a. <br />Collaboration with Ramsey County Library, Shoreview Human Rights Commission and <br />Do Good Roseville showing of Race: The Power of an Illusion <br /> <br />Ms. Sherry Sanders stated Donald Eubanks will be the moderator for the discussions that will <br />follow each of the three parts in the series. Do Good Roseville did host this series in November <br />of 2016. The Police Department is using this series as part of their leadership training. <br /> <br />Mr. Donald Eubanks provided his background to the Commission. He stated he uses segments <br />of this series in his classes. He explained as a moderator he would help to direct the discussion <br />after each film. <br /> <br />Chair Groff asked Ms. Ramundt if she would also be advertising to her group that the film would <br />be showing again. <br /> <br />
