<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1289 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE WHICH AMENDS TITLE 9 AND ADOPTS THE NEW <br />MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE (2003) AND UPDATES <br />REGULATIONS WITHIN THE BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION SECTIONS <br />OF CHAPTER 9. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville do ordain: <br /> <br />Section 1. Title 9, Chapter 901 through 905.04 is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />901.01: ADOPTION OF CODE <br /> <br />The 2003 Minnesota State Building Code (MSBC) one copy of which is on file in the <br />office of the designated building official, has been adopted by Minnesota Statutes 16B.59 <br />to 16B.75 as a uniform building code applicable throughout the state, superseding any <br />other building code of any municipality. The most recent revisions, and subsequent <br />amendments to such code are hereby adopted as the building code of the city and <br />incorporated in this chapter as completely as if set out in full. (Ord. 1237,3-13-2000, eff <br />5-1-2000) <br /> <br />901.02: DESIGNATED BUILDING OFFICIAL <br /> <br />The designated building official shall receive and process applications, inspect premises, <br />ascertain compliance with the building code, issue permits and perform such other work <br />under the building, zoning and subdivision codes as may be delegated to him by the city <br />manager or community development director. (1990 Code) <br /> <br />901.03: CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS <br /> <br />The code enforcement officers shall perform such work in enforcing the building code <br />and other portions of the city code as may be delegated to each by the building official or <br />community development director or as provided for in the city code.
