Single-ply <br />membrane roofs have a life of approximately 20 <br />years. Built-up roofs made of felts and bituminous <br />asphalt generally last 20 to 30 years provided repairs <br />are made when needed. Re-roofing provides an <br />opportunity to evaluate insulation and make upgrades <br />for energy savings. All roof insulating capabilities will <br />be evaluated during replacement of each roof <br />system. <br /> <br /> <br />Scheduling and Project Status: <br /> <br />Projects will be bid and completed in the year that <br />they are budgeted. Bids will be solicited in the early <br />spring for completion during those periods when <br />weather effects will be minimized during construction. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2016: Rink B <br /> Well #15 <br />2017: Fire #2 <br /> Well #13 <br />2018: Community Center sky light <br /> Ice Rink A roof <br /> Well #11 <br />2019: Park building roofs <br /> Well #3 <br />2020: Central Fire <br /> WTP #16 <br /> <br />Relationship to General Plan and Other Projects: <br /> <br />This project is consistent with the policy of maintaining the <br />city’s infrastructure. <br /> <br />Effect on Annual Operations Costs: <br /> <br />Added insulation during re-roofing will decrease heating <br />and cooling expenses. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Description: <br /> <br />This item provides for the scheduled <br />replacement of roof systems for major <br />community and utility buildings. <br /> <br /> <br />Item #4: Attachment A
