She encouraged the <br />147 <br />Commissioners to recruit for these positions to create a diverse voice for the City. There is <br />148 <br />149 <br />150 <br />Commissioner Slade asked if there was a brochure available. <br />151 <br />152 <br />Ms. Curti stated currently there is not a brochure but she could make that recommendation. <br />153 <br />154 <br />Commissioner Carey stated having this type of brochure would be great to have at events like the <br />155 <br />One World Multi-Cultural event and Imagine Roseville. <br />156 <br />157 <br />Ms. Curti stated the HRC would haveone vacancy. <br />158 <br />159 <br />160 <br />161 <br />Chair Groff stated he had no additional information at this time. <br />162 <br />163 <br />Youth Commissioner Report <br />164 <br />165 <br />Youth Commissioner Hansel stated the Human Rights Club at the High School is currently <br />166 <br />working on a project with the focus of bringing people together. On January 31,students will be <br />167 <br />encouraged to write down stereotypes that others have about them followed by their truths. <br />168 <br />These would then be displayed in the main area of the school for students to look at them, reflect, <br />169 <br />th <br />and discuss. The Club is also talking to the 9grade social studies classes about human rights <br />170 <br />including the Syrian refugee crises, violence against women, and freedom of speech and press. <br />171 <br />172 <br />Staff Report <br />173 <br />174 <br />a.Update on Imagine Roseville Community Conversations <br />175 <br />176 <br />Ms. Curti stated the first event was in October with a follow-up discussion in December. The <br />177 <br />discussion in December was about what could be done in specific areas. The consultant is <br />178 <br />putting this information together for the City to determine what they can do. <br />179 <br />180 <br /> <br />
