Commissioner Carey stated the <br />191 <br />first conversation had been recorded and is currently available for people to watch. <br />192 <br />193 <br />b.Update on Naturalization Ceremony <br />194 <br />195 <br />Ms. Curti stated the Naturalization Ceremony was scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, at 10:00 <br />196 <br />am. The event will be held at the Skating Center. She stated the HRC had spent $100 in 2016 for <br />197 <br />refreshments for this event. <br />198 <br />199 <br />c.2017 Calendar <br />200 <br />201 <br />Ms. Curti stated she would update the March meeting date and confirm the One World Multi- <br />202 <br />Cultural event date. Commissioner Dailey stated the next HRC meeting is February 15. <br />203 <br />204 <br />Ms. Curti stated the Bloomington Human Rights Commission would be hosting the exhibit for <br />205 <br />Fredrick Douglass from Slavery to Freedom: The Journey to New York City from February 8 to <br />206 <br />February 28. The Ramsey County Library would be hosting Duchess Harris on African- <br />207 <br />American History in NASA and a series on Islam in the West. <br />208 <br />209 <br />Chair Groff stated he had attended Breaking the Myths of Islam at the Library last week. <br />210 <br />211 <br />Future Agenda Items <br />212 <br />213 <br />Commissioner Eichenlaub stated he has received information from the League of Women Voters <br />214 <br />and they were going to have a panel on affordable housing on February 21. <br />215 <br />216 <br />Adjournment <br />217 <br />218 <br />Commissioner Eichenlaub moved and Commissioner Sladeseconded a motion to adjourn. <br />219 <br />Motion passed unanimously.
