Youwillbe involved in a reviewof both. Below isa brief description. <br />Subdivision Code–Park Dedication Ordinance1103.07 <br />Inyour packet are several items including the: <br />existingordinanceand procedure <br />existingordinance with additionsinredand deletionsstruck <br />consultantsside by side version of theexistingordinance and their <br />proposed ordinancelanguage <br />The existingordinanceand procedure has evolved through theCommission and <br />City Council over manyyears. It seems to work well so it is very important that a <br />lot of thought go into any proposed changes.Please review and provide input. <br />Requested Commission Action:Review, discuss and provide input. <br />b.Parks and Recreation Section <br />TheCity Comprehensive Plan(Comp Plan)hasa Parks, Open Space and <br />RecreationSection that includes, amongst other information, goalsand policies <br />(included in your packet).Thissectionis outdated becausetheComp Plan has <br />nothad an updatein the last10 years. <br />In 2010 <br />the Citywent through a very exhaustivecommunity processto update <br />theParks and Recreation SystemMaster Plan.The Plan was adopted by the <br />City Council in November of 2010and includes updated goalsandpolicies <br />(included in your packet). It was the intentat that timeto havethese new goals <br />and policiesreplace the information inthe CompPlan, which has not happened. <br />me to do it. <br />This isanappropriate ti <br />In summary, theParks, Open Space and RecreationSection that iscurrently in <br />the Comp Plan is outdated and is anticipated toberemoved andreplaced with <br />themorerecent 2010adopted MasterPlan information.This isalso a good time <br />to reviewand confirmeach area.
