Requested Commission Action :Approve/amend meetingminutesof May 3, 2016. Tree Replacement Fund Policy 4. On May9, 2016, the Community Development Department has had discussions with the City Council related to the recently adopted Tree Preservation Ordinance.Specifically, the discussion centered on the potential ofbroadeningthe development site allowance for tree replacement to include adjacent private property that is in need of treereplacement and the desire to potentially establisha policy on atree replacement expenditure fund. To further the City Council discussion and decision, they have asked that the Community Development Department gather comments, thoughts and advice fromtheParks and Recreation Commission/Tree Board and the Public Works, Environment, and Transportation Commission. Community Development Staff will providea brief presentation on the draft policy and will facilitateadiscussion with commissionmembers. Included in your packet areadraft Tree Replacement Fund Policy and listingsofpointsto facilitate a discussion. Requested CommissionAction: Receive presentation on the Draft Tree Replacement Fund Policy, discussand provide comments/advice/input tothe CommunityDevelopmentDepartment. Discuss and prepare for joint meeting with the City Council 5. Your annual joint meeting withthe City Council will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 at the regular City Council meeting. It is anticipatedto be on the agenda beginning at approximetely 6:45p.m. for about 40 minutes. This is your meeting with the City Council to discuss areas of importance to you and to gather input and guidance from them. Included in your packet from yourlast meeting’s reviewis an updated draft Request for City Council Action (RCA) highlighting work of the Commission over the last year and areas the Commission sees working on over the next year. Please be prepared to add, delete or modify items as you see appropriate. The RCA is anticipated to be included in the City Council packet. Requested Commission Action : Discuss and finalize information and approach for your joint meeting with the City Council. Cedarholm Golf Course Clubhouse Replacement Process 6. Aresident advisory committee has been organized to engage the community and implement a planning process that will exploretopics such asclubhouse size, function, use, possible partnerships and funding options.
