Commissioner Manke moved, Commissioner Sparby seconded, <br />after April 1, 2017 having no participation by the CEC on the City <br />Council subcommittee that would constitute a quorum of CEC <br />commissioners (e.g. no more than two representatives in <br />attendance at one time). <br /> <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Commissioner Manke noted the value of all ideas and encouraged <br />individual CEC commissioners to share them with City Manager <br />Trudgeon for dissemination to the full CEC. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Holub suggested asking Mayor Roe and Councilmember <br />Laliberte what feedback they were looking for. <br /> <br />Commissioner Tomlinson suggested that, if an agenda could be set up <br />beforehand and shared it would be helpful to him in not serving as a <br />representative to the subcommittee. <br /> <br />City Manager Trudgeon reminded commissioners that there should be <br />no offline discussion by the CEC as a body. <br /> <br />At the request of Vice Chair Holub, City Manager Trudgeon advised that <br />he would alert the City Council subcommittee of tonight’s decision of the <br />CEC about representation. <br /> <br />b.Consider Canceling the Monthly Community Engagement <br /> <br />Commission Meeting Scheduled for March 16, 2017 <br /> <br />Motion <br />Commissioner Sparby moved, Commissioner Manke seconded, <br />cancellation of the regularly scheduled March 16, 2017 CEC <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Ayes: 4 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Manager Trudgeon confirmed that, at this point, the regularly- <br />scheduled April 13, 2017 CEC meeting would remain; but could meet <br />earlier if so indicated. Mr. Trudgeon noted that the purpose of that <br />meeting would be to talk about a combination of the CEC and HRC and <br />an update from or reaction to recommendations of the subcommittee. <br /> <br />Commissioner Manke observed that until the subcommittee was <br />scheduled, there was nothing more to be done or discussed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Tomlinson opined that prior to any formal action of the <br />City Council, the CEC should have an opportunity at an open meeting to <br />provide their formal feedback. <br /> <br /> <br />
