Commissioner Peterson stated this had been discussed at a subcommittee meeting <br />and it had been recommended that all the commissions be one unit since the HRC <br />and CEC will be combined by the time of the parade. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dailey stated this suggested had been brought forward by the City. <br /> <br />Commissioner Djevi stated that they should have a sign that identifies their <br />Commission so if people are aware what Commissions are in the City. <br /> <br />Ms. Curti stated this is a marketing question and she would look more into this with <br />the City Manager and update the Commission. <br /> <br />h.Film Series Collaboration with Ramsey County Library <br /> <br /> <br />Ms. Curti asked if participating and co-sponsoring these types of events would be <br />part of the new Commission’s goals. <br /> <br />Chair Groff suggested tabling discussions until the Commissions were combined in <br />May. <br /> <br />Commissioner Djevi stated he had attending a viewing of The Thirteenth and got the <br />contact information for the speaker for the event. He would be interested in being a <br />moderator if the City decides to move forward with a viewing of this movie. <br /> <br />i.Mental Health Programming Ideas <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Groff suggested tabling discussions on mental health programming until the <br />May meeting when the Commissions were combined. <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br />Commissioner Carey stated Youth Commissioner Cederberg had worked on the <br />Summer Book Read program for the last couple of years and the program is gaining <br />momentum. She would like to see this program continued. <br /> <br />Youth Commissioner Hansel stated she would get in contact with Youth <br />Commissioner Cederberg and begin working with him on this project. <br /> <br />Commissioner Djevi stated Ask a Black Man part 2 would be May 20. <br /> <br />Chair’s Report <br /> <br />Chair Groff stated he had nothing additional at this time. <br /> <br />Youth Commissioner Report <br /> <br />Youth Commissioner Hansel stated they will be starting teaching in two weeks. <br /> <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />Ms. Curti stated the Commission received an inquiry from a resident regarding the <br />resurrection of the passing of the ERA. She is not requesting any action from the <br />Commission and she will respond to the resident on behalf of the Commission. <br /> <br />
