Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday,May 15, 2017 <br /> Page 14 <br /> Councilmember Laliberte noted the need for the License Center's interior space to <br /> also reflect that City of Roseville branding immediately noticeable by customers <br /> (e.g. decal on the back wall to identify Roseville) and to avoid taping notices all <br /> over the facility. <br /> Finance Director Miller advised that staff had already had internal discussions <br /> about the appearance of the interior, and about the possibility of identifiable cloth- <br /> ing for staff at the License Center for immediate recognition by customers. <br /> Based on conversations to-date, Councilmember Willmus offered his support of <br /> securing the lease and looking hard at additional space. <br /> Councilmember McGehee offered her support of moving forward at this time. <br /> McGehee moved, Etten seconded, authorizing staff to finalize lease negotia- <br /> tions with Gaughan enter into a lease under Option 2 with the additional <br /> square footage as detailed by staff in the RCA of today's date. <br /> Mayor Roe clarified, with confirmation by City Manager Trudgeon, that upon ap- <br /> proval of this motion, the next steps would be for staff to seek and bring back in- <br /> formation to proceed with specifications for design work from an architectural firm <br /> for City Council approval of final design. <br /> At the request of Mayor Roe, City Manager Trudgeon clarified that bids would be <br /> sought for the actual construction work itself; estimating that staff would return in <br /> June for additional discussions based on tonight's action. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee and Roe. <br /> Nays: None <br /> Recess <br /> Mayor Roe recessed the meeting at approximately 7:47 p.m., and reconvened at approximately <br /> 7:55 p.m. <br /> e. Review and Provide Comment on the Last Chapter of a Comprehensive Tech- <br /> nical Update to the Requirements and Procedures for Processing Subdivision <br /> Proposals as Regulated in City Code, Title 11 (Subdivisions) (PROJ-0042) <br /> Senior Planner Bryan Lloyd provided a brief summary of tonight's requested dis- <br /> cussion as a precursor to continuation of this subdivision review from the previous <br /> City Council meeting. <br /> Councilmember McGehee opined that the City Council should give careful consid- <br /> eration to several areas (e.g. street section) and attempt to make this code easier to <br /> understand by including diagrams showing rights-of-way and curbs as simple illus- <br /> trations rather than eliminating that detail from city code and also removing the <br />
