Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday,July 17, 2017 <br /> Page 22 <br /> Site 94 <br /> �-- After a brief discussion, without objection, Mayor Roe indicated that the council <br /> directed staff to retain current HDR designation for this site. <br /> Site 106 <br /> With existing HDR apartment use and based on ongoing Planning Commission <br /> discussions related to Institutional properties adjacent, Mayor Roe noted that fu- <br /> ture designation was still pending. <br /> No staff direction was given for this site at this time. <br /> Site 55 (Commercial) and 56 (Vacant) <br /> With owners of this site the same a Rosedale Estates, and original Business guid- <br /> ance in past comprehensive plans prior to 2010, the consensus was to leave desig- <br /> nation as HDR. <br /> Site 131 <br /> With discussion indicating and confirmed by Mr. Paschke that a project was pro- <br /> posed and some properties already on the market, the consensus was to leave des- <br /> ignation at HDR at this point. <br /> Properties already Designated MDR <br /> SE Corner(Margolis Landscaping and 220 McCarron's Boulevard) <br /> Mayor Roe noted that these parcels were currently designated MDR and consen- <br /> sus was that no change was proposed at this time. <br /> N of Lexington Avenue <br /> Mayor Roe noted that these Reiling properties across from The Lexington apart- <br /> ments were designated MDR and currently vacant and developable. <br /> Snelling Curve <br /> While these properties are designated MDR, Mayor Roe noted Planning Commis- <br /> sion discussions to recommend changing them to single-family guidance, with the <br /> draft 2040 future land use map showing them as such based on comments related <br /> to the marshy area. <br /> Councilmember Willmus suggested leaving the designation as MDR and if a sin- <br /> gle-family developer wanted to develop them as such, that conversation could en- <br /> sue at that time. <br /> Mayor Roe agreed, opining that the biggest concern appeared to be access to the <br /> site off Hamline Avenue or County Road B-2 if the site developed as MDR. <br /> Without objection, Mayor Roe indicated that the council directed staff to consider <br /> this as a broader conversation as part of the comprehensive plan process. <br />
