48Vice-Chair O’Brien offered the addition of Goal 7.7,to address the volunteers neededfor the <br />49Natural Resources Program.The Commission discussed usingsimilar languageto Goal 2.7 <br />50with the addition ofsupport “and engage”. <br />51 <br />52Newbysuggested adding “and the need for critical habitat for pollinators”to Goal 7.4. <br />53 <br />54Chair Gelbach indicated that the Commission wouldbe completing a final overview of all the <br />55goals and recommendations at the October 3, 2017 meeting. <br />56 <br />PARK DEDICATION METHOD DISCUSSION <br />575. <br />58Chair Gelbach introduced the work that was donetoreview the Park Dedication method at <br />59the August 3, 2017 Parks and Recreation meeting. <br />60 <br />61The Commissionagreed that they arecomfortable withand suggestthe current methodfor <br />62determining Park Dedication. However,going forwardthey suggested a periodiccomparison <br />63every couple of years to reviewthe League of MN Cities methodology as part of their <br />64ongoing Park Dedication analysis. <br />65 <br />66Vice-Chair O’Brien asked for additional details on the current non-residential land and cash <br />67dedication amounts. Currently, the land amount is 5% and the cash dedication is 10% FMV. <br />68 <br />69The Commission discussedequalizing the amounts. <br />70 <br />71Commissioner Stoner movedtoincreasethenon-residentialland amount from 5% to 10% <br />72with all other amounts, including cash amounts to remain the samefor 2018. Motion passes unanimously. <br />74 <br />PREPARE FOR JOINT MEETING WITH RAMSEY COUNTY PARKS AND <br />756. <br />RECREATION COMMISSION <br />76 <br />77The Commission discussed a potential list of topics forthe joint meeting with Ramsey <br />78County Parks and Recreation.
