While not seeing <br /> the HRIEC as making decisions, Councilmember McGehee stated that her intent was that <br /> they be free to work as an independent body making the City Council aware of their re- <br /> search on various programs and making suggestions when requested by Council. She <br /> clarified that she was looking to the HRIEC to consider plans and processes to unify the <br /> various city initiatives in this area as a major priority. <br /> For clarification purposes, Councilmember Laliberte advised that neither she, nor Mayor <br /> Roe, as the current City Council subcommittee working with the HRIEC, had been in- <br /> volved in the HRIEC's development of their 2018 work plan. <br /> Mayor Roe concurred, noting that the draft HRIEC work plan would be available in the <br /> next City Council meeting packet for the joint meeting. <br /> 12.
