6414 Ul e
• 1) 1 strongly encourage and support a public survey
(online and by telephone + paper forthose who don't have a computer) to understand how
residents (and workers/visitors) use mass transportation and the needs for safer roads/travel. 2)
Please help improve (e.g. decrease delays/congestion) rush hourtraffic on Hwy 36 in Roseville.
3) Perhaps Metro Transit needs to review ridership needs/stop frequency. 4) Highly support a
sidewalk on Victoria btw C+D. S) Highly support help with Lturn lane drivers on Cty B2 +
Lexington at Grace Church going west towards Rosedale. 6) When traveling south on Victoria+
B2, the new L turn drivers hold up many (but prob. Not enough) drivers going straight. Can we
make Rturn only to include straight?Thankyou for listening + having an open house!
• Connecting Victoria from Central Park
(Co Rd C) to Co Rd D with a sidewalk ortrail is a large concern. Connecting to Shoreview's trail
(i.e. W. Owasso Blvd) would help connect communities. Working with Ramsey County fora joint
master trail plan could help.
• Congestion on 36 rush hours need to be addressed as
evening congestion can go to 7 pm. Collection streets are taking more traffic as drivers look to
alternatives to congested 36 and 35W. Residential street traffic is increasing w/faster driving
creating safety issues. Need to fix 36+35W. Transit needs more clear East/west and
North/South routes without snaking through the city. Focus on more small park & ride collectors
and make them accessible w/ biking and walking paths. Look at bus stops that don't have proper
space for passengers to wait.
• Expand Hwy 36—esp Eastbound—to get the congestion
off the E -W residential roads. Improve 280+35W to get the N -S traffic off the residential roads.
Mass transit+ bike paths are not the best choice forfamilies who need to get around with small
children. Get the traffic out of Roseville.
• 1. Encourage bike use by expanding on striped
roads and maybe then issuing bike maps for Roseville and neighboring communities. 2. There
are so many neighborhoods in Roseville that are not being served at all bytransit options. It is
my understanding that Metro Transit makes decisions, but Roseville could help improving transit
by doing surveys with residents to find out about the interest to use public transit. 3. Also
considerthe changing demographics of the city and its changing transportation needs, especially
in regards to public transportation and bike lanes.
• My suggestions are: #1 Make sure that all new
intersection construction has turn lanes installed. rig That highway 36 be expanded to 3 lanes
each way from Interstate 35W to 35E— many cars are now going onto County Roads B -C, B2.
• Need to build an off-road pathway
along Victoria from Woodhill to Millwood Ave before someone is killed. See curve where S.B.
traffic cuts inside and on shoulder in spite of limited visibility due to trees.
• 1. Victoria, C to D— needs sidewalks/bike path.
Victoria is a designated "bike route," a favored way for North-South bicycling. Needs separation
from traffic. Many new older people will be moving into new +existing senior housing; they
