Strategies: Transit <br />Location: System -Wide <br />Lead Agency: City of Roseville/Metro Transit <br />Type of Improvement: Last Mile Access <br />Goals Addressed: Coordinate Transportation Decisions; Create a Sustainable Transportation <br />Network; Promote the Use of Transit. <br />Strategy: Connections to bus stops and transit stations can be challenging by foot or bike due <br />to lack of continuous sidewalk facilities and crossings. Opportunities to improve access and <br />connections should be explored in a collaborative manner with all public and private <br />stakeholders. Discussions with Metro Transit could be used to help prioritize key investments <br />based on ridership and access demands. Improvements should be integrated and scheduled <br />as part of Capital Improvement Programs as funding is available. <br />Location: System -Wide <br />Lead Agency: City of Roseville/Metro Transit <br />Type of Improvement: More Bus Shelters <br />Goals Addressed: Coordinate Transportation Decisions; Create a Sustainable Transportation <br />Network; Promote the Use of Transit. <br />Strategy: Work with Metro Transit to explore opportunities to enhance bus shelter facilities at <br />key locations to support existing ridership and attract additional riders to the transit service. <br />Location: System -Wide <br />Lead Agency: City of Roseville/Metro Transit <br />Type of Improvement: Enhanced East-West Fixed Route Service <br />Goals Addressed: Coordinate Transportation Decisions; Create a Sustainable Transportation <br />Network; Promote the Use of Transit. <br />Strategy: There are limited transit routes that connect the eastern and western parts of the <br />city without requiring a trip outside of the city. The City should work with Metro Transit to <br />explore the feasibility of providing an east -west local fixed route service within the city. <br />Location: System -Wide <br />Lead Agency: City of Roseville/Metro Transit <br />Type of Improvement: Seven Day and Evening Service <br />Goals Addressed: Coordinate Transportation Decisions; Create a Sustainable Transportation <br />Network; Promote the Use of Transit. <br />Strategy: The City should work with Metro Transit to explore the feasibility of expanding <br />bus route evening and weekend service for fixed route service within the city. <br />Location: Larpenteur Avenue East of Victoria Street <br />Lead Agency: City of Roseville/Metro Transit <br />Type of Improvement: Add Service <br />Goals Addressed: Coordinate Transportation Decisions; Create a Sustainable Transportation <br />Network; Promote the Use of Transit. <br />Strategy: There is currently no bus service along Larpenteur Avenue east of Victoria Street <br />and limited connections in this area.
