Location: System -Wide <br />Lead Agency: City of Roseville/Metro Transit <br />Type of Improvement: Express Bus to St. Paul <br />Goals Addressed: Coordinate Transportation Decisions; Create a Sustainable Transportation <br />Network; Promote the Use of Transit. <br />Strategy: Express service to downtown St. Paul is limited in comparison to express routes <br />serving downtown Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota. The City should work with <br />Metro Transit to explore the feasibility of additional express bus service to downtown St. <br />Paul. <br />Location: System -Wide <br />Lead Agency: City of Roseville/Metro Transit <br />Type of Improvement: Elderly Transit Service <br />Goals Addressed: Coordinate Transportation Decisions; Create a Sustainable Transportation <br />Network; Promote the Use of Transit. <br />Strategy: Metro Mobility currently provides transit service for disabled citizens that cannot <br />use the normal fixed route transit system. Transit services for the elderly currently include <br />the Roseville Area Senior Program and American Red Cross. City officials should coordinate <br />with Metro Transit, the Roseville Area Senior Program and American Red Cross to evaluate <br />current and future transit system needs for a growing elderly population in Roseville to <br />ensure that adequate and affordable service is available. <br />Location: System -Wide <br />Lead Agency: City of Roseville/Metro Transit <br />Type of Improvement: A -Line Commuter Bus Connections <br />Goals Addressed: Coordinate Transportation Decisions; Create a Sustainable Transportation <br />Network; Promote the Use of Transit. <br />Strategy: City officials should coordinate with Metro Transit to evaluate current transit and <br />bicycle/ pedestrian connections and parking availability to the existing A -Line Commuter Bus <br />service. Opportunities to improve multimodal connections and parking should be explored in <br />a collaborative manner with all public and private stakeholders.
