Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: November 28, 2017 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2017 Pavement Management Project <br />o This year's project involves 7 miles of street resurfacing, 1 mile of watermain <br />replacement and various storm sewer upgrades. <br />o The project is completed other than some very minor cleanup work. <br />• Water Booster Station Phase 1 <br />o Work on upgrades to the booster station began last week. <br />Walsh Lift Station Project <br />o Project has been awarded. Construction will most likely start sometime in early <br />spring of 2018. <br />• Parks Renewal Pathway Project <br />o The contractor is currently installing new sidewalks/pathways in the following <br />locations; <br />• North side of County Road B between Dale St and Sandhurst (Completed) <br />• East side of Lexington between Roselawn Ave and County Road B (75% <br />Complete) <br />• West side of Victoria between County Road C and Woodhill Drive <br />• A new pathway within Tamarack Park from Farrington St to the new <br />playground equipment. <br />o Work is anticipated to be completed next Spring <br />• 2018 Sewer CIPP <br />This year's project involves lining 6.0 miles of sanitary sewer pipe and two small <br />segments of storm sewer. Veit & Companies was awarded the project in <br />November and will begin work on the project in early 2018. <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation updates: <br />• County Road B2 and Snelling signal project is currently under construction. The new turn <br />lanes are open. Signal replacement will be completed in December. Traffic impacts <br />should be minimal. <br />• MnDOT is finalizing plans to perform pavement maintenance on 35W south of TH 36 in <br />2018. There will be impacts to some ramps in Roseville including the Cleveland <br />Ave/County Road B ramps and access to TH 280. Staff will bring more information on <br />this project to Commission as details are made available. <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Completed the fourth full City Sweep and fall cleanup. <br />• Finished miscellaneous general street patching. <br />• Late October started annual tree trimming program. Will resume once we finalize <br />sweeping. <br />
