REDA Meeting <br /> Minutes—Monday,December 4,2017 <br /> Page 2 <br /> REDA for this property for a six-month review period to consider its <br /> acquisition. <br /> At the request of Member Laliberte, Ms. Kelsey advised that the six month <br /> period began as of the city's first written correspondence to Ramsey County <br /> seeking their withholding of the property from sale, and not when Ramsey <br /> County determines it is safe for the city to enter the property for an interior <br /> inspection. <br /> At the request of Member Etten, Ms. Kelsey clarified that the intended use by <br /> the city of Housing Replacement Program funds would be to pay for only <br /> exterior maintenance of the property and any future upkeep. <br /> For the benefit of the public, President Roe reviewed the uses for which a local <br /> government could use a property as outlined in the staff report and related <br /> attachments. <br /> President Roe offered an opportunity for public comment with no one <br /> appearing to speak to this issue. <br /> McGehee moved, Etten seconded, authorizing staff to request Ramsey County <br /> to withhold 1125 Sandhurst Drive from public sale or lease to others for a <br /> maximum of six months. <br /> Member McGehee spoke in support of the motion. <br /> In offering his support of the motion, Member Etten opined that when homes <br /> such as this one exist in a Roseville neighborhood, the community asks and <br /> expects the city to provide resolution. <br /> President Roe concurred with Member Etten on the city's responsibility to <br /> address this property. <br /> Ayes: 4 <br /> Nays: 0 <br /> Motion carried. <br /> b.
