Th2 following is a chronology of activities leading to the City Council actions: <br />• July 1996 - City Council appoints nine residents to Lake Owasso Task Force. <br />• Task Force holds a series of ineetings including a meeting to which all lake <br />residents were mailed notice inviting them to attend and provide comments. <br />� <br />• March 1997 - Task Force presents its recommendation at a City Council work <br />- session. <br />• April 1997 - Council reviews recommendation and instructs that ordinance and joint <br />power agreement be prepared. <br />• May 1997 - Council considers and adopts ordinance and joint powers. <br />• September 1997 - Council rescinds previously adopted ordinance and joint powers <br />and adopts revised ordinance and joint powers. <br />Attached are the following: <br />• City Council minutes relating to Lake Owasso actions. <br />• Ordinance 1187 amending City Code regarding use and regulation of public waters. <br />• Lake Owasso Task Force recommendation. <br />Thank you again, and if you have any questions please call me at 490-2202. <br />,..._._ . <br />�, <br />Steve North <br />Assistant City Manager <br />Attachments <br />
