Adopt an ordinance similar ta the City of Shoreview ordinance with the following <br />provisions: <br />• Within 150 feet of the shore of Lake Owasso, motorized watercraft shall not <br />exceed a"slow, no wake" rate of speed as defined by the State of Minnesota's <br />Boating Rule with the follawing exceptions: <br />— Straight out departure and straight in return from and to the share <br />— Motarized watercraft activity assaciated with a special event approved by <br />the City Council and permit obtained fram Ramsey Caunty Sheriff <br />• Motorized watercraft shall at all times maintain a separation that far the <br />canditions is adequate to avaid an accident with swimmers, rafts, dacks, and <br />other watercraft, and that daes not diminish the safety of other lake users ar <br />us� of their property. When a swimmer is present, motc�rized watercraft shall <br />not pass between a dock and a raft located within 150 feet of the shore. <br />• Water skiers, tubers, surtboarders, etc. shall not came closer than 150 feet of <br />the share except for straight out departure and straight in return from and to <br />the shore. <br />2. Adopt a resolution supporting the following: <br />���'"� The placement of buoys marking the 150 foot distance from shore at the public <br />boat launch and at the southeast corner af the lake in appraximately the same <br />location as the summer of 1996. <br />�'"f The placement af signage at the public boat launch, including ordinance <br />requirements, new laws, and DNR map. <br />,- <br />�r'�f The City of Roseville investigate funding additional water patrol by the Ramsey <br />County Sheriff. <br />,' <br />• „P�"roviding for public comment at hearings far permits on the lake and <br />'��'' pracedures far recording unresolved complaints. <br />• T�,h,�f the City of Roseville will not approve any requests for a slalam course in <br />�°�f"ie southwest end of the lake. <br />
