<br />Division / Program Description
<br />The Sanitary Sewer Fund provides for the maintenance of the sanitary sewer collection system to assure
<br />the public’s health and general welfare.This fund also provides for the payment to the Met Council
<br />Environmental Services for treatment of wastewater generated by Roseville customers. The Program’s
<br />activities are accounted for in the Sanitary Sewer Fund.
<br />2018Goals and Objectives
<br />Rehabilitate utility infrastructure in conjunction with street improvement projects and through the
<br />use of trenchless technologies to ensure uninterrupted operations and reliable infrastructure.
<br />Evaluate additional inflow and infiltration reduction strategies.
<br />Replace the Cleveland Ave Lift Station and force main.
<br />Make building repairs to the Fernwood Lift Station structure.

<br />2018Budget Impact Items
<br />Personnel increases include a 2.25-2.75% cost-of-living increase for city staffand wage-step
<br />increases for eligible employees.
<br />Increase in ‘Other Services & Charges’primarily due tohigher depreciation charges.
<br />Capital Outlay provides for the scheduled replacement and rehabilitation of infrastructure, vehicles,
<br />and equipment which can fluctuate from year to year.
<br />2016/2017Achievements
<br />Cleaned all lift stations quarterly.
<br />Completed design and awarded contract for the replacement of the Cleveland Ave lift station.
<br />Cleaned 241,000 linear feet, or one-third, of the sanitary sewer system and all higher frequency
<br />areas.
<br />Responded to 58 sewer back up calls, all but 8 of which were within the private lines.
