Division / Program:Building Permits and Codes <br />Organizational Responsibility: Community Development Director <br />Division / Program Description <br />The CodeEnforcement Program ensures public safety and health standards related to building <br />construction and land use are maintained for the general welfare of the community. This provides a safer <br />community for all citizens through proper construction methods and provides for enhanced neighborhood <br />livability and property values. For the homeowner this helped lower construction costs, avoid expensive do-overs, <br />and, result in safer, healthy and more durable homes. For Architects and contractors the expanded use of <br />pre-application meetings developed a good working relationship and understanding of City requirements <br />at the beginning of projects. <br />70 <br /> <br />
