Appendix C - Hauler - Organics Recycling Interview Question Guide <br />We would like permission to quote you in our feasibility report. You have the right to deny being quoted in our <br />feasibility report. Do you grant us permission to quote you in our feasibility report? <br />Could you please begin by telling us a little bit about the history of Eureka Recycling and when your organization <br />fust started offering organics recycling pickup and transport? <br />When did Eureka Recycling start working with the City of Roseville to service their recyclables? How did that <br />relationship 6mn? <br />How moth at the Twin Cities arm dross Erosion provide service to (we are aware that you have recycling aconite <br />with Roseville and St. Pad)? <br />Have you established organics recycling with any citiea/municipafities? If not, what are some/any barriers that <br />have presorted themselves? <br />Do you anticipate any challenges if Eureka was to palls with Roseville to establish organics recycling pickup <br />and transport? <br />Could you please explain your current contract with the City of Roseville? What would need to be changed to <br />menrpemte mgarms recycling? <br />If Eureka Recycling were to partner with Roseville to provide organics recycling services, would a source <br />separated marries cart or a commingled "blue bag" type of system be preferred? <br />Would the organics collected be processed at Eureka's processing center or would it be transferred for processing <br />at a different location? <br />We understand that some haulers have clu seri to become less involved in the organics recycling market due to <br />economic challenges; do you anticipate Eureka solidly continuing their efforts and presence in the organics <br />recycling market, and does being a non-profit make that diff tthan for-profit haulers that are concerned about <br />economic drawbacks? <br />On the topic of Eureka Recycling being a nonprofit organization; could you please tell us some of the benefits <br />of working with a mnprofit (as the cities of Roseville and St. Paul do with Eureka), and how it shapes your <br />business model, including how you approach your employees and thew experience working with your <br />organization as well as working relationships with municipalities such as Roseville? <br />Costs questions <br />• What would the cod be for the City of Roseville to And organics recycling with Eureka? <br />• What would the City need to pay for? <br />• Wbat would the residents need to pay for? <br />• How would you charge each? <br />• Would charger stay stable or will they reduce overtime? <br />• Are there any deals that can be negotiated to bring down the price? <br />• Would Eureka provide services such as bags/carts and incorporate this into the service fce, or would <br />Roseville need to supply this on tneu own? <br />25 <br />
