Regular City Council Meeting Monday,January 8,2018 Page 9 McGehee moved, Etten seconded, approval of Ordinance No. 1539 entitled"An Ordinance Amending Selected Text of the Roseville City Code, 3 Section 907.04: Expiration of Registration." Council Discussion Councilmember Willmus questioned whether it makes more sense to have all these properties come up at the same time. He inquired how many properties would be subject to this. Mr. Englund responded there are approximately 700. Councilmember Willmus asked whether staff will then be responsible for keeping track of 700 different renewal dates. Mr. Englund stated the computer system automatically keeps track. This is the simplest way to do it in this system. He added that this change will be similar to the contractor's license registration that was amended last year. Councilmember Laliberte added it sounded at first glance that this is a lot to keep track of,but the system sounds like an efficient way to do it. Roll Call Ayes: Laliberte, McGehee,Willmus, Etten, and Roe. Nays: None. C. Confirm Citizen Advisory Commission Reappointment/Appointment Sched- ule City Manager Trudgeon briefly highlighted the RCA dated January 8, 2018. Mayor Roe noted on the interviewing process, if any two councilmembers request an interview, the candidate will be interviewed. If a motion is made, seconded and voted on, anyone can be interviewed as well. McGehee moved, Willmus seconded, re-appointment the slate of candidates pre- sented on RCA dated January 8, 2018, without requiring additional interviews. Roll Call Ayes: Laliberte, McGehee, Willmus, Etten, and Roe. Nays: None. d. Appoint Acting Mayor for 2018 Mayor Roe noted this is an annual requirement as per State statute. Willmus moved, McGehee seconded, to appoint Councilmember Laliberte as Act- ing Mayor for 2018.
