The Parks and Rec Commission would consider a name for <br /> the park. He also noted that City staff and Public Works have been open to help- <br /> ing wherever possible and feasible. This is really a genuine collaborative effort <br /> amongst many. <br /> Mayor Roe offered an opportunity for public comment, with no one coming for- <br /> ward. <br /> Etten moved, McGehee seconded, adoption of the Park Master Plan for 1716 <br /> Marion Street and authorization of a $250,000 budget for the development of the <br /> park as outlined and presented. <br /> Council Discussion <br /> Community Etten stated this is a fantastic proposal in a key part of the communi- <br /> ty. <br /> Councilmember McGehee thanked staff for their work and commented this is one <br /> of the most significant things the City has done for its community. She appreci- <br /> ates the community build idea. This gives everyone an opportunity to own the <br /> project and the park. <br /> Councilmember Willmus also thanked staff, specifically Kari Collins and Jeanne <br /> Kelsey. He also thanked Roseville schools for their involvement on the front end. <br /> He echoed the comments of his colleagues as well. <br /> Mayor Roe concurred with the Council comments. He noted that folks who work <br /> and live in this area will be able to participate in the community build. This will <br /> potentially engage people to help implement the larger vision of the <br /> Rice/Larpenteur area. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus, Etten, McGehee and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> g.
