OUTREACH <br />MDA <br />The MDA presented EAB information to the Lino Lakes Environmental and Park Boards, Woodbury city staff, and <br />at a Lakeville EAB Open House. <br />The MDA presented EAB information at two informational sessions in Martin County, one for industry and one <br />for municipalities. <br />The MDA presented EAB Biological Control information at the MISAC Fall Tour in Duluth. <br /> <br />Updated EAB Homeowner Guide to Insecticides and the Label Guidance for Use Limits are being printed. <br />Regional meetings in the Mankato and St. Cloud area are being scheduled for the last two weeks of January. If <br />you know of a free room that can hold 100 people please contact Jennifer Burington, 651-201-6097 <br />jennifer.burington@state.mn.us. <br />The MDA will have a booth at the Northern Green Expo January 2-4 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Stop <br />by our table to pick up the newest EAB materials. <br /> <br /> <br />DNR <br />DNR, along with Southern Chapter of MN SAF, the U of M Student Chapter of MN SAF, Friends of the Mississippi <br />River, and Urban, did an experimental planting in the Willow Brook Aquatic Management area by planting about <br />500 stakes of several tree species (cottonwood, boxelder, etc.) in a black ash seepage infested with EAB. Local <br />high school students will work with Urban Roos and Friends of the Mississippi to monitor the growth and <br />survival of these trees in future years. <br /> <br />Placed a Television and Digital “Don’t Move Firewood” Campaign with Eyewitness 5 News and 45TV. <br /> <br /> <br />
