41Commissioner Baggenstoss questioned how extending the life of an item effects <br />42the timing of the otheridentified items. In addition, heasked how a new item <br />43would be added to the list. Staff commented that each item is looked at <br />44individually on the list in terms of upgrade date and potential replacements and/or <br />45additions. <br />46 <br />47Park Improvement <br />48The Park Improvement CIP includes items such as playgrounds (which are on a <br />49set life cycle), buildings,and shelters, etc.Another capital itemincluded is the <br />50communitygyms, however, there is no money identified as it also listed under <br />51General Facilities.Natural Resources has evolved into a substantial effort.The <br />52future of the Natural Resource program will include a combination of volunteers, <br />53staffand City funding. <br />54 <br />55Regarding the Natural Resource Program, Vice-Chair O’Brien brought up that <br />56there are volunteers willing to cut buckthorn every weekend. However, they have <br />57not had a staff person present who can spray the buckthorn in order to limit future <br />58growth. Staff stated that there is an eventin January to discuss theoverallNatural <br />59Resource Program, interests and needsmoving forward. <br />60 <br />61Golf Vehicle & Equipment <br />62Capital Improvement Program forthenewCedarholmCommunity Building was <br />63handed out to Commissioners.A review of the existing program was highlighted. <br />64 <br />65Parks & Recreation Renewal Program <br />66The Parks & Recreation Renewal Program was a$19 Million allocation for <br />67repairs,replacements, land acquisitions, trails and pathwaysin Roseville’s Parks <br />68and Recreation System.Some remainingRenewaldollarscould potentiallygo to <br />69the new Cedarholm Community Building. <br />70 <br />71Other Discussion <br />72Commissioner Heikkila questioned if Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is included in <br />73the CIP. Staff confirmed that it is under Natural Resources. <br />74 <br />75Commissioner Baggenstoss questioned the inclusion of the 2134 Cleveland <br />76Avenueand 1716 MarionStreetprojectsin the CIP. Staff confirmed that it would <br />77not be included in the CIP until after the plan is determined and constructed when <br />78it becomespart of the replacement planning. <br />79 <br /> <br />
