To:Parks and Recreation Commission <br />From:Lonnie Brokke <br />Date:February 27, 2018 <br />Re: Notes for Commission Meeting on Tuesday March 6, 2018 <br />Introductions <br />1. <br />Public Comment Invited <br />2. <br />Approval of Minutes of the February 1,2018Meeting <br />3. <br />Enclosed is a copy of the minutes of February 1, 2018.Please be prepared to <br />approve/amend. <br />Requested Commission Action:Approve/amend meetingminutesof February 1, <br />2018 <br />Program Review – Recreation Programs <br />4. <br />As possible, throughout the year and seasons, we are planning to have various staff <br />members attend your meeting to discuss what is going on in their particular area and <br />gather your thoughts and feedback. <br />This month, Lauren Deal, Recreation Superintendent willbe at the meeting to <br />provide you with an overview of the recreation program offerings for the summer and <br />Rosefest. <br />Requested Commission Action:Review, update, provide feedback. <br />Election of Chair and Vice Chair <br />5. <br />Per City Code, the election of officers occur at the last meeting preceding the end of <br />regular terms of appointment. This is the time to elect the Chair and Vice-Chair for <br />the upcomingyear. The election may occur by voice vote or secret ballot depending <br />on theCommissions wishes. <br />Requested Commission Action: <br />Election of Chair andVice-Chair of the Roseville <br />Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />Appoint Ethics Commission Representative <br />6. <br />The makeup of the City Ethics Commission is a representative of each of the other <br />City Advisory Commissions including one from the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission. Commissioner O’Brien has served in that role during the past year and <br />will provide a summary of duties and her experience at your meeting. This is a <br />standing item each year on your agenda. <br />In your packet is Chapter 207 ofthe City Code that identifiesthe scope and duties of <br />the Ethics Commission. <br />Requested Commission Action: <br />Discuss and appoint arepresentative to the <br />Ethics Commission. <br />2 <br /> <br />
