She will send an email to all Commission liaisons, so they know a member 316 of the HRIEC will be part of their public comment time at an upcoming meeting. 317 318 Commissioner Manke suggested they send out the parade invite ahead of the Commissioners 319 visiting their meeting. 320 321 Chair Holub stated they need to ask the Council who they want to take the lead on the parade 322 effort. The HRIEC took the lead last year, it was a lot of work, and it was done by a 323 subcommittee. If they cannot have subcommittees, she is unsure if this Commission can plan it. 324 325 Commissioner Manke disagreed. A lot of the planning is something they have already done, and 326 she has all the information from last year. She inquired why they would not step up to take it on. 327 328 Chair Holub responded she questions why they as a Commission are even doing it. Community 329 engagement is just one of their duties. 330 331 Commissioner Manke stated she sees it as one of their duties to try to get others within their own 332 civic area together as well and believes they should be doing it. 333 334 Chair Holub commented they will do it if directed to by the Council. 335 336 b. Action Plan Discussion 337 338 Chair Holub reported they met with the Council in October 2017 and presented an Action Plan, 339 and the Council has requested they return for another meeting. The Commission approved the 340 calendar at the last meeting and as directed, she made it"council-ready." She added more 341 background and context as more information for the Council. She also changed the quarterly 342 meetings to bi-annual. 343 344 Commissioner Groff commented the action plan gives the Commission leeway and is succinct 345 enough to demonstrate to the Council where they are headed. 346 347 Commissioner Peterson stated it looks very good. They have provided feedback on the park 348 planning process and she would like to see if the Council wants them to continue to do that and 349 be involved in the Discover Your Parks program. She would also like feedback from the 350 Council on the community engagement piece and if they want the Commission to continue to 351 evaluate City initiatives. 352 353 Ms. Olson commented the Council has expressed interest in having this Commission evaluate the 354 Imagine Roseville process and create a guiding document for the City to use when doing 355 engagement and outreach. She also noted any minutes associated with these items will be 356 included as well. 357
