She noted they will keep at the proclamation process and <br /> 584 continue to work on them. <br /> 585 <br /> 586 Commissioner Manke suggested they go over a few proclamations at a time and not try to get <br /> 587 through all of them each meeting. <br /> 588 <br /> 589 Commissioner Peterson noted about half of the proclamations they discussed only require minor <br /> 590 changes. They can push those to the side and focus on the ones with more significant changes. <br /> 591 <br /> 592 Chair Holub noted the following proclamations are ready with no further changes required: <br /> 593 Days of Remembrance, Black History Month, Women's History Month, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, <br /> 594 and Transgender Pride Week(LGBTQ). <br /> 595 <br /> 596 Commission Djevi commented they had discussed linking activities to these proclamations. <br /> 597 <br /> 598 Ms. Olson noted once they have the language of all the proclamations they would like to <br /> 599 recommend, they can bring it to the City Council, along with the proclamation they would like to <br /> 600 feature. At that time, they can decide which activities they would like to do related to the <br /> 601 featured proclamation. <br /> 602 <br /> 603 Chair Holub suggested they discuss which proclamation they would like to feature at the next <br /> 604 HRIEC meeting. The Commission agreed. <br /> 605 <br /> 606 f. Elect ChairNice Chair <br /> 607 <br /> 608 Chair Holub reported this would be for a one-year term beginning in April. She explained the <br /> 609 role of the Chair is lead meetings, help Ms. Olson with the agenda and packet, and be the point <br /> 610 of contact with the City Council. <br /> 611 <br /> 612 Ms. Olson explained the Vice Chair would fill in for the Chair when absent. <br /> 613 <br /> 614 Chair Holub opened nominations for Chair. <br /> 615 <br /> 616 Commissioner Manke moved and Commissioner Groff seconded a motion to nominate Chair <br /> 617 Holub as Chair. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> 618 <br /> 619 Chair Holub opened nominations for Vice Chair. <br /> 620 <br /> 621 Commissioner Groff moved to nominate Commissioner Djevi for Vice Chair. Commissioner <br /> 622 Djevi declined the nomination. <br /> 623 <br /> 624 Commissioner Djevi moved and Commissioner Groff seconded a motion to nominate <br /> 625 Commissioner Peterson for Vice Chair. Motion passed unanimously. <br />
