Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: March 27, 2018 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 5 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2018 Pavement Management Project <br />o Council awarded this year's project to T.A. Schifsky and Sons. Work consists of <br />replacing 1 mile of water main and 6 miles of pavement resurfacing. Work is <br />likely to begin near the end of May and continue through September. <br />• Water Booster Station Phase 1 <br />o Work on the booster station upgrade is approximately 90% completed. The <br />underground piping has been replaced and the new slab for the generator has been <br />placed. Work to install the new electrical service should be completed by mid- <br />April. <br />• Water Booster Station Phase 2 <br />o Staff will meet with the consultant, AE2s, to begin phase 2 of the water booster <br />station upgrades. Upgrades will include replacing two pumps, replacing the <br />remaining electrical, and replacing some additional piping. Construction is likely <br />to take place starting in the Fall of 2018 through spring of 2019. <br />Parks Renewal Pathway Project <br />o The contractor is currently installing new sidewalks/pathways in the following <br />locations; <br />• North side of County Road B between Dale St and Sandhurst (Completed) <br />• East side of Lexington between Roselawn Ave and County Road B (75% <br />Complete) <br />• West side of Victoria between County Road C and Woodhill Drive <br />• A new pathway within Tamarack Park from Farrington St to the new <br />playground equipment. <br />o Work is anticipated to be completed this spring. <br />• 2018 Sewer CIPP <br />o This year's project involves lining 6.0 miles of sanitary sewer pipe and two small <br />segments of storm sewer. Veit & Companies was awarded the project in <br />November and will begin work on the project in April. <br />Walsh Lift Station Project <br />o Project has been awarded. Construction will most likely start sometime in May. <br />Lounge Lift Station <br />o This lift station will be rehabbed in the spring with new pumps, controls and a <br />new forcemain. The project was awarded in January to Pember Companies. <br />Construction will begin in the spring. <br />
