Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: April 24, 2018 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 5 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2018 Pavement Management Project <br />o Council awarded this year's project to T.A. Schifsky and Sons. Work consists of <br />replacing 1 mile of water main and 6 miles of pavement resurfacing. Work is <br />anticipated to begin the week of April 30. <br />• Water Booster Station Phase 1 <br />o Work on the booster station upgrade is approximately 95% completed. The new <br />electrical service and new emergency generator should be put online the week of <br />April 23. <br />• Water Booster Station Phase 2 <br />o The City's consultant is working on plans for phase 2 improvements at the <br />booster station. Upgrades will include replacing two pumps, replacing the <br />remaining electrical, and replacing some additional piping. Construction is likely <br />to take place starting in the Fall of 2018 through spring of 2019. <br />Parks Renewal Pathway Project <br />o The contractor is currently installing new sidewalks/pathways in the following <br />locations: <br />• North side of County Road B between Dale St and Sandhurst (Completed) <br />• East side of Lexington between Roselawn Ave and County Road B (75% <br />Complete) <br />• West side of Victoria between County Road C and Woodhill Drive <br />• A new pathway within Tamarack Park from Farrington St to the new <br />playground equipment <br />Work is anticipated to be completed this spring. <br />• 2018 Sewer CIPP <br />o This year's project involves lining 6.0 miles of sanitary sewer pipe and two small <br />segments of storm sewer. Veit & Companies was awarded the project in <br />November. Work has been delayed this spring due to the weather but work should <br />begin in the next few weeks. <br />• Walsh Lift Station Project <br />o Project has been awarded. Construction will most likely start sometime in May. <br />• Lounge Lift Station <br />o This lift station will be rehabbed in the spring with new pumps, controls and a <br />new forcemain. The project was awarded in January to Pember Companies. <br />Construction will begin in the spring. <br />• Fernwood Lift Station <br />o Staff met with the City's consultant to discuss upgrades to this sanitary sewer lift <br />station. This lift station was constructed in the late 1950's. A feasibility study will <br />
