Learn how at <br /> Roseville's block captain training. Even if you are not a neighborhood block captain, you are <br /> invited to attend either of the meetings to learn ways to help reduce crime in your neighborhood. <br /> Tuesday, November 14 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. <br /> Thursday, November 16 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. <br /> Meetings will be in the City Council Chambers at Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive. <br /> At the meeting,participants will learn about recent crime trends. Police Community Relations <br /> Coordinator Corey Yunke will give advice about reporting problem areas, abandoned vehicles, <br /> loud parties or suspicious behavior. He'll provide information about when to call 9-1-1 and how <br /> to protect oneself and one's home. Staff will also demonstrate ways to stay informed with the <br /> police department, including the new"Forward to Police" option on .N e xt..door::...coJ-;,. <br /> A neighborhood watch group is a great investment in the community. It helps build trust and <br /> creates a safer community. Neighborhood watch groups form wherever one lives,whether a <br /> home, duplex, town home, condo or apartment building. With an active watch group, Roseville <br /> Police communicate directly with block captains about concerns in the neighborhood. Block <br /> captains, in turn,pass that information on to neighbors, helping residents understand how <br /> criminals operate. Neighbors will be able to recognize suspicious activity, report it to the police <br /> and protect the neighborhood. <br />
