Item 8b.
Engagement Efforts
community-building events. Thanks for your help creating a lasting environmental impact in our
parks.
Community Development Land Use Open Houses
The City of Roseville invites residents to a series of open houses to discuss proposed changes to
the future land use plan affecting properties throughout the city. The proposed changes are part
of Roseville's 2040 Comprehensive Plan update.
A comprehensive plan is a city's guide for long-term growth, redevelopment and improvements.
Cities review and update the plan every ten years to ensure that it continues to reflect the
community's collective vision and aligns with the Metropolitan Council's plan for the region.
Over the past year, Roseville has held dozens of public meeting and outreach events, seeking
input from residents and business owners about the comp plan update. The consultant and staff
reviewed the comments and are making recommendations for minor changes to properties
throughout Roseville.
The proposed changes may impact how properties are redeveloped in the future. Changes include
adjusting the density allowed on some residential properties, requiring a small percentage of
multi-family housing units in redevelopments of larger mixed-use areas, and formally
designating park properties that have been incorporated into the parks system over the past
several years.
The open houses will meet on December 19, 20, and 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at locations
throughout the city. Residents and business owners can review the proposed land use changes
and get information about meeting locations at www c.zt,.c1c. c11 ...ccrn/ .crlp..a . Call 651-
792-7073 if you have additional questions.
