Resolution—Approve Green Team <br /> Now, Therefore Be It Resolved for and on behalf of the City of Roseville, Minnesota and <br /> its citizens that: <br /> The Public Works, Environment, and Transportation Commission is hereby designated as <br /> the City's Green Team according to Best Practice 24.1 of the GreenStep Cities program. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Public Works, Environment, and <br /> Transportation Commission shall take on the following tasks in order to fulfill the <br /> objectives of the Green Team: <br /> a. Approve and make available to the community an annual sustainability update <br /> report containing goals and outcomes of community plans and sustainability <br /> initiatives. <br /> b. Evaluate existing and proposed policies to identify any overlooked opportunities <br /> for pursuing sustainability and environmental stewardship, and make <br /> recommendations for amending these policies. <br /> c. Undertake its best efforts to communicate with and engage residents,businesses, <br /> and institutions in the implementation of sustainable practices to help meet city <br /> goals. <br /> d. Advise City staff members and officials on efforts to educate community <br /> members about the city vision and ongoing opportunities to participate in <br /> sustainability initiatives. <br /> e. Collect feedback from the community and provide recommendations for utilizing <br /> this feedback to improve City practices and programs. <br /> f. Provide recommendations for further research and programs to implement in the <br /> City to promote sustainability and protect the environment. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br /> Councilmember Willmus, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br /> favor thereof: McGehee, Willmus, Laliberte, Etten; and Roe and the following voted <br /> against the same: none. <br /> WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
