Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: May 22, 2018 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• 2018 Pavement Management Project <br />o Work consists of 6 miles of pavement rehab and one mile of watermain <br />replacement. Additionally two railroad crossings will be replaced on Long Lake <br />Road and County Road C2. Work is well underway with paving scheduled on <br />some roads including Josephine Road next week. Work will likely continue <br />through September. <br />• Water Booster Station Phase 1 <br />o Major work on the booster station upgrade is completed with only some minor <br />cleanup remaining. The booster station is on a new power supply and has a new <br />backup generator in operation. <br />Water Booster Station Phase 2 <br />o Design is ongoing for Phase 2. The plan is to open bids on Phase two in July for <br />Fall and Winter construction. Upgrades will include replacing two pumps, <br />replacing the remaining electrical, and replacing some additional piping. <br />Parks Renewal Pathway Project <br />o The contractor is currently installing new sidewalks/pathways in the following <br />locations: <br />• North side of County Road B between Dale St and Sandhurst (Completed) <br />• East side of Lexington between Roselawn Ave and County Road B (75% <br />Complete) <br />• West side of Victoria between County Road C and Woodhill Drive <br />• A new pathway within Tamarack Park from Farrington St to the new <br />playground equipment. <br />Work is anticipated to resume this week with construction done by the end of next <br />week. <br />• 2018 Sewer CIPP <br />o This year's project involves lining 6.0 miles of sanitary sewer pipe and two small <br />segments of storm sewer. Veit & Companies began working in the McCarron <br />area two weeks ago. Work will proceed through the summer and be completed by <br />September. <br />Walsh Lift Station Project <br />o Project has been awarded. Construction will start sometime around May 21 and <br />continue through early June. <br />Lounge Lift Station <br />This lift station will be rehabbed with new pumps, controls and a new forcemain. <br />The project was awarded in January to Pember Companies. Construction will <br />begin in late June and last approximately 4 weeks. <br />
