5) OLDER ADULT HOCKEY PROGRAM VIDEO SHOWING <br />The Commission viewed a video produced by Commissioner Heikkila with Mike Phillips <br />and Nathan Reopel for Almanac on TPT-Twin Cities. The video highlighted older adult <br />hockey players skating at the Roseville Skating Center and aired statewide. <br />Commissioners commented on a job well done and thanked Commissioner Heikkila. <br />6) ONGOING TOPICS <br />a) Cedarholm Community Building Replacement <br />Cedarholm Golf Course is open as of April 29, 2018. A special thank you to Grace Church <br />for providing additional parking for golfers. <br />Reservations are being taken for the Cedarholm Community Building. The building will be <br />available for rentals year round and seats up to 120 people. <br /> <br />7) STAFF REPORT <br />a. Joint Meeting with the City Council on Monday June 18, 2018 - Staff provided a <br />preliminary Request for Council Action (RCA) for the joint meeting based upon the previous <br />year. <br /> The City Council approved a reduction of 20 deer for 2018/2019 <br /> Jill Anfang the Assistant Parks and Recreation Director retired on 4/27/18 <br />th <br /> 49 Annual Ice Show at Roseville Skating Center - Thanks to all volunteers and staff <br />for another great show! <br /> May 19 Natural Resource Renewal Event at Central Park Lexington Boulevard <br />Flower Planting (10:00a.m.-12:00p.m.) <br /> June 16 Natural Resource Renewal Event at Lexington Park Raingarden <br />Maintenance (10:00a.m.-12:00p.m.) <br /> Rosefest information and recreation activities are available online <br /> Skate Park will open in May - exact day will be announced soon <br />8) OTHER <br />Commissioner Stoner commented that he liked the new look of the Discover Your Parks <br />(DYP) and Puppet Wagon flyer. <br /> the potential for a wildlife form online. This would allow residents <br />to report what wildlife they are seeing (not just deer or geese). She also suggested that staff <br />periodically publish a summary of the wildlife form results. <br /> <br />
