Staff feels like this is worth a try to gauge <br />community interest and resident commitment to this activity. <br />The city would follow its community engagement strategy to create awareness and <br />answerquestions. <br />Staff will plan to provide an overview of this topic and gather feedback. <br />Requested Commission Action:Reviewand provide thoughts and advice. <br />5.Review Pathway Master Plan <br />Pathways and sidewalk construction in the city is coordinated by Roseville Public <br />Works. However, Parks and Recreation is very involved and works with them <br />closely. <br />The Public Works Department and their Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission(PWET)has been working on updating the Pathway <br />Master Plan (enclosed). They have overlaid the Parks and Recreation <br />“Constellation” connection concept (enclosed) into the overall plan. <br />Public Works staff will be at yourmeeting to provide a brief background, identify <br />progressmade in pathway construction,reflect any significant changes from the <br />previous planand gather any advice from you. <br />Requested Commission Action:Review and provide input and advice <br />6.Discuss and prepare for joint meeting with the City Council <br />The joint meeting ofthe Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council will be <br />on Monday, June 18, 2018.It is usually one ofthe first items on the agenda. You <br />have gathered in ameeting room at around 6 p.m. that night. We will get you the <br />agenda when it is available to us, which is generally the Thursday prior to the <br />Monday meeting. <br />In May, you briefly touched on this topic. A typical request for City Council Action <br />(RCA) is in your packet for you to reviewand finalize. This is the last Parks and <br />Recreation Commission meeting prior to the joint meeting so please be prepared to <br />finalize the meeting approach,as you are comfortable. <br />Requested Commission Action:Discuss and finalize Request for City Council <br />Action and approach to the meeting. <br />7.Ongoing Topics <br />a.Cedarholm Community Building Replacement Update <br />The Cedarholm Community Building is nearing completion. <br /> <br />
