NO. <br />10-18 <br />1988 <br />ADOPTED <br />OBJECTIVE: <br />To protect and assist Roseville citizens during and after <br />disasters and to maintain continuity of the Roseville City <br />government. <br />ACTIVITY: <br />1. Roseville's Civil Defense operations are directed by the <br />City Manager, with day to day coordination done by the <br />Deputy Chief of Police. Civil Defense is responsible for <br />mitigating, preparing for, responding to, and recovering <br />from natural and man made disasters. A comprehensive <br />emergency plan has been developed, and is regularly updated <br />to keep abreast of County, State and Federal guidelines and <br />regulations. Thirteen outdoor warning sirens are maintained <br />by the unit. <br />2. The Roseville Reserve Police is a unit of the Civil Defense <br />Operations. The reserves are responsible for park patrol, <br />assisting at special events and assisting during emergencies <br />and disasters. <br />EXPENDITURE COMMENTS: <br />No significant change. <br />21 <br />� <br />
